WHAT ISSUES DO YOU PROVIDE COUNSELING FOR?
We provide counseling for adults, teens, singles, couples, and families. We assist those who are struggling with depression, anxiety, stress, self-esteem, grief, anger, addiction, codependency, relationship issues, communication, parenting, premarital and marital issues.
WHAT IS COUNSELING AT MCS LIKE?
If you’ve never been to counseling, or if you’ve been numerous times before, our goal is to make you feel at ease and comfortable enough to talk about what’s on your mind. In the first session, we’ll finalize paperwork, the have you share your story. If you’re dealing with difficult emotions, you will be encouraged to talk them out and so we can discover where they are coming from. We typically assign homework, as well as a book recommendation or two to help you in your introspection beyond our sessions together. Our goal is to equip you in your walk with God and others so you can find healing.
DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE? HOW MUCH DO YOU CHARGE PER SESSION?
We are not an in-network provider for any insurance company. We can give you a receipt which you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement; but, please understand that we cannot guarantee your carrier will reimburse you.
Having said that, we at MCS understand that many in the field of Counseling charge between $100-$175 per session which can be an extreme hardship for some. MCS understands that we all come from different socioeconomic backgrounds and as such we endeavor to treat this much like a ministry, as such, we do not charge a flat fee. We will charge based upon your annual income and while some may see this as “unfair” understand that the money collected goes back into the ministry to assist in other areas. So what you give will inevitably help someone in need.
